Leo Suter Plays Harald Hardrada aka Harald Sigurdsson on Vikings: Valhalla
Leo Suter's latest appearance in one of the most anticipated shows Vikings: Valhalla, which is a sequel to Vikings, could be said to propel him into stardom.
His portrayal of larger-than-life and larger-and-stronger-than-other-men character Harald Sigurdsson earned him a lot of admirers, who are now simping after him.
Harald Sigurdsson, also known as Harald Hardrada, was the King of Norway from 1046 to 1066. In Vikings: Valhalla, he’s on a mission against the English to avenge the fallen Vikings in England.
Harald is a Christian Viking, who has to unite the Vikings following paganism with the Vikings who have taken up Christianity to become King of Norway, which is one of the major issues around which the plotline of the show revolves.
Since Leo Suter was playing a legendary warrior who was a beast on the battlefield, to get the visuals of physicality (he had the perfect height of six feet two inches) and size correct, Leo trained with the weights he had lying around in his garage under the supervision of Pat Henry (through Zoom calls) during the first four months of the pandemic in lockdown.
It took him four months to get into the shape of Harald.
