In real life, Sebastian and Joe Locke (@joelocke03) get along better than they do on TV. The couple's tight friendship has sparked suspicions that they are dating. Locke and Croft have a number of social media posts together, including many images during a trip to New York.

Kit Connor On Joe Locke's Obsession With Coffee
Joe Locke confesses to something practically everyone can relate to in an interview with Attitude Magazine. He confessed that he can't operate without his morning coffee.
When he arrived on the set of Heartstopper, it was one of the first things he did. On the other hand, Kit Connor joked that his love for a cup of coffee on the set of Heartstopper was not ideal for their kissing moments. Connor said,
It did mean there were a couple of kissing scenes where I was punished deeply.
Locke justified himself by claiming he had chewing gum in his mouth. When Locke was caught off guard during a surprise kissing scene practice, Connor recalls that chewing gum was not present. Locke happened to be holding a freshly brewed cup of coffee.
Connor jokes that it was tough for him and that he wished he could have an egg salad sandwich or something similar and eat it soon before the shooting.

Connor recalls that he would crack jokes to relieve tension and that he would frequently mention Joe's stinky breath.
