Millie Bobby Brown Makes Criticism About Stranger Things: How Did the Duffer Brothers Respond? Reddit & More!

Millie Bobby Brown, the leading cast of Netflix's Stranger Things, recently made criticism about the show and Reddit users seek detailed information about the controversy. Well, Millie said that she wants the Duffer brothers to kill more characters for the show's finale/Season 5. Follow the article to know more about the criticism Millie Bobby Brown made and how the creators responded.

The highly anticipated Season 4 of the Netflix hit Stranger Things premiered in May after being significantly delayed by the COVID-19 outbreak. The first seven episodes/Vol.1 of Season 4 were first released on Netflix on May 27, 2022. The final two episodes, or Vol. 2, which are almost two movies, were made available on July 1.

In Season 4, Eleven deals with bullying from a blonde high school Barbie doll, losing her powers, Vecna's fury, and being forcefully reunited with the manipulative Dr. Martin Brenner, whom she regards as Papa.

And because Millie Bobby Brown has become such a tremendous sensation, thanks in large part to the Duffer Brothers, she has no difficulty expressing her divisive viewpoints regarding the show that helped make her famous. She even criticized one particular aspect of Stranger Things, as well as the show's brother creators. Some Reddit users seek details on the controversy. Well, here is how the Netflix star made criticism of the show.

Previously, we touched on Millie's disability and her alleged suicide attempt.

Reddit: Millie Bobby Brown’s Criticism About Stranger Things: Here Is How the Duffer Brothers Responded!

No one wants to see their favorite characters on their favorite show be killed, except for Millie Bobby Brown  (@milliebobbybrown). In a May 2022 interview with The Wrap, Noah Schnapp, who has played Will Byers since Season 1, initially said that the Duffer Brothers should kill off more people in Season 5.

Then Millie joined in. She jokingly said,

"The cast is way too big. Last night, we couldn’t even take one group picture because there was like 50 of us. I was like, ‘You need to start killing people off.' The Duffer Brothers are two sensitive Sallies that don’t want to kill anyone off. We need to be Game of Thrones. We need to have the mindset of Game of Thrones."

Millie Bobby Brown even made a joke about getting rid of Eleven.  We will draw attention to the fact that she is making all of these statements while being aware that there will only be one more season. If there were five more seasons in the works, we doubt she'd be as open about her opinion.

And the Duffer Brothers eventually spoke up because Millie couldn't help but run her adorable mouth. The Duffer brothers are aware that her remarks were made in jest. On a recent episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Matt Duffer said,

"What did Millie call us? She said we were ‘sensitive Sallies.’ She’s hilarious. Believe us, we’ve explored all options in the writing room. Just as a complete hypothetical, if you kill Mike [Finn Wolfhard], it’s like … that’s depressing … we aren’t Game of Thrones. This is Hawkins, it’s not Westeros. The show becomes not Stranger Things anymore because you do have to treat it realistically, right? This is me basically defending myself against these Millie Bobby Brown accusations and explaining that there are lives behind it, and it’s nothing to do with my sensitivity. So there you go, Millie."

Stranger Things is perhaps Netflix's most successful and well-known franchise to date. The COVID-19 pandemic severely hampered Season 4's production, as the show's young cast members clearly grew older during the break. The big finale that the story has been building to is now expected to occur in Season 5.

Stranger Things Season 4 Vol. 2 is now available on Netflix. However, there is currently no information available on the start date or potential release date of Season 5.

Before leaving, find out why Millie Bobby Brown believes the earth is flat.
