Raising Dion Season 2 is finally here, three years after the first season premiered on Netflix, and there are a few new faces. Raising Dion is a Netflix original superhero drama series set in America that premiered on October 4, 2019.

It's based on Dennis Liu's 2015 comic book and a short movie of the same name. In January 2020, Netflix renewed the series for a second season, which was released on February 1, 2022.

Who is Kwame on Raising Dion Season 2?

Kwame, played by J. Harrison Ghee (@jharrisonghee), is the company manager of The Lewis Company, Nicole Warren's previous dancing studio before having Dion. In "ISSUE #101: How Do You Raise a Superhero?", Willa mentions Kwame for the first time when she offers Nicole a job if she talks to Kwame.

In "ISSUE #104: Welcome to BIONA. Hope You Survive the Experience," Nicole finally accepts this offer. While Kwame is unable to offer Nicole a job as a dance teacher, he does place her in charge of ticket sales at the front desk. Kwame was a dancer roughly 8 years before the performance, according to a flashback in "ISSUE #105: Days of Mark's Future Past."

In "ISSUE #107: Why So Vomity?" Kwami informs Nicole that she needs to have the poster for their next play printed, and despite Dion's illness, he won't let her leave work to pick him up. As a result, Nicole is compelled to call Kat to get Dion.

Nicole's efforts paid off, as he thanked her for her efforts in "ISSUE #108: You Won't Like Him When He's Angry." Nicole took advantage of the situation to seek a promotion and health insurance, which Kwame unwillingly granted.

Kwame is in charge of putting on the school musical at McKoy Park Elementary in Season 2. He recognizes Esperanza Jimenez's brilliance right away and casts her in the starring part, much to her dismay.
