Is Dave Franco Gay? Who Is the Day Shift Cast Married To? Is It Brie Alison?

Dave Franco, one of the cast members of Netflix's Day Shift, is not gay as he is happily married to his wife, Brie Alison. The couple started dating in 2015 and got married in 2017. However, they are yet to have a child. People doubted Dave's sexuality as he used to make Funny or Die videos which most of the people found gayish.

Netflix's Day Shift, a vampire comedy directed by J. J. Perry, centers on Bud Jablonski, a father whose sole goal is to provide his daughter, who is eight years old, a happy and fulfilling life. His profession as a seemingly boring pool cleaner is really just a cover for his day job, which is to hunt and kill vampires for money. However, joining an international organization of vampire hunters is just as challenging as it sounds.

One of the interesting characters in the show is Seth played by Dave Franco. He is an always anxious desk jockey who is tasked with taking care of Bud while he is on union probation. When Seth experiences the danger and confusion of fieldwork, his understanding of the rules shifts. Seth is supposed to report any tiny transgression he observes.

Things have always surrounded Dave about his sexuality. Some sources claim he is gay while other claims he is straight. As a result, fans are confused about what to believe and what not to. Well, we've got you covered. Here is everything we know about his sexuality.

Previously, we touched on Steve Howey's girlfriend.

Dave Franco Is Not Gay as He Has Been Happily Married to His Wife, Brie Alison, Since 2017: The Day Shift Cast’s Sexuality Examined!

Dave Franco is not gay. For those who wonder about his sexuality, the Day Shift cast is married to his wife, Brie Alison (@alisonbrie). The couple got married in 2017 after dating for around 6 years. Well, why do people doubt his sexuality? Here's why.

Not just James Franco has bravely explored homosexuality in his work. Dave, his own brother, is as well. Even with himself. Since he starred in the 2007 independent film After S*x, in which Mila Kunis was a lesbian, and after Channing Tatum made a homophobic error in 21 Jump Street, the 37-year-old has gained a sizable LGBT fan base.

Additionally, Dave Franco used to make viral Funny or Die videos in which a lot of viewers found the videos were gayish. He also gave an interview with Pride Source. When asked how he reacts to the gay community’s excitement over him and his videos, he stated,

I gotta embrace it, right? I love it. At this point, I’m so happy that anyone is even aware of me or is a fan of me. It’s still something that I don’t think I’ll ever get used to. From just what I’ve heard and what I’ve observed, the gay community, when they revolve toward someone or something or a movie, they come full force and they tell everyone about it. Tell me if I’m wrong.

However, Dave Franco was never gay. He got married to his wife Brie Alison in 2017. They had reportedly been dating for at least five or six months, according to Us Weekly, in May 2012. Prior to the magazine confirming their engagement in August 2015, the couple mostly kept their relationship out of the public eye.

Brie stated on Larry King Now in June 2017 that Dave Franco proposed to her in Big Sur, California, but she didn't respond straight away. She explained,

I was so shocked that I actually burst out laughing and asked him a number of times if he was being serious before saying yes.

As of now, Dave Franco and his wife have been very happy with their marriage. They have even worked together on a few projects together. Both of them claimed that it is really easy to work with each other, especially when it comes to filming intimate scenes. However, the couple does not have any children. Brie once confirmed that they've not decided to expand their family yet.
