Stranger Things Season 4: Meet Enzo Actor, Thomas Wlaschiha!

Thomas Wlaschiha (@tomwlaschiha) plays the role of Enzo, one of the newest characters to join the Stranger Things Season 4 cast. Wlaschiha, 48, is from Dohna, Germany, but he moved to the United States when he was 17 years old to pursue an acting career. He studied theater and English in Massachusetts. He can also speak French, Italian, and Russian (which has come in handy for Stranger Things).

Despite his appearances in a number of films and television shows, Wlaschiha's career did not take off until 2012 when he landed the role of Jagen H'ghar in Game of Thrones. Jaqen was a member of the Faceless Men, an organization of trained and skilled assassins, as fans may know. He was responsible for training Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) on how to become an assassin.

In an interview with Metro Style, the Enzo star said that he's been in the acting field for 20 years, however, Game of Thrones really helped him in his career. He explained,

"I’ve been doing this 20 years ago before Game of Thrones, I’ve always been lucky to make a living just from acting, so I didn’t have to do any jobs on the side. I consider myself very lucky but of course things have changed a bit since Game of Thrones, it made it much easier for me to get on a part—to be considered for other part, that’s one of the greatest gifts I got from Game of Thrones."

Wlaschiha also starred as Sebastian Berger in NBC's action-thriller series Crossing Lines, in addition to Game of Thrones. He also made an appearance in a few episodes of Jack Ryan. On the film side, he's best recognized for his roles as Albrecht in Resistance (2011) and Prince Albert in Mr. Turner (2014).

Who Is Enzo? How Does the Russian Guy Help Jim Hopper in the Netflix Series?

Jim Hopper (David Harbour) is stuck in a Russian prison in the new season of Stranger Things, where he is frequently beaten and forced to work on a railroad. Fortunately, he finds a friend in Dmitri, who promises to help Hopper reunite with Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) in exchange for $40,000. Dmitri calls Joyce using the code name Enzo, a reference to the restaurant where Hopper and Joyce had a date.

Dmitri hires a pilot, Yuri (Nikola Djuricko), to transport Joyce, Murray (Brett Gelman), and the money to Russia, where they may pick up Hopper following his prison break. Yuri, on the other hand, betrays Dmitri and blows the whistle on his plan, landing both Hopper and Dmitri in a Russian prison cell.

Dmitri and Hopper must work together to stay alive as prisoners. The Russian guards pit them and other prisoners against a Demogorgon in the hopes of feeding and entertaining the monster. Murray and Joyce, fortunately, manage to break inside the prison and help in the struggle. Dmitri, Hopper, Joyce, and Murray finally make it out of the chaos.
