Why Is Cherie Chan Not in Bling Empire Season 3? Is Jessey Lee the Real Reason?

Cherie Chan and her husband, Jessey Lee, are not in Bling Empire Season 3 because the couple left the show in Season 2 as soon as other cast members were aware of Jessey's previous marriage and children. Additionally, reports suggest that Cherie knew everything. Since the couple didn't want anybody to know about it, they probably left the show to save themselves from the embarrassment.

Bling Empire on Netflix is an intriguing addition to the platform's collection of binge-worthy reality drama shows. There is no disputing that it has all the makings of an engrossing watch, what with its wealthy Asian American cast members, their tragic associations, and the glamor that is sprinkled at every turn.

The Netflix series featured Cherie Chan as a regular throughout Season 1. She was observed at the time waiting for a proposal from Jessey Lee, who was her partner. During Season 1, the pair already had a daughter and was expecting a son. Numerous things have happened since then, both on the show and in the lives of individuals. After a dramatic on-camera engagement, the couple later got married in a private ceremony.

After Episode 2 of Season 2 ended, Cherie and Jessey disappeared from our screens without saying anything. And we weren't all that surprising given the drama from the first two episodes. If you wonder why Cherie and Jessey are not in half of the episodes of Bling Empire Season 2 and the whole episodes of Season 3, you've come to the right place.

Previously, we touched on a cast member from Power Ranger and Anna Shay's friend, Maria.

Cherie Chan Is Not in Bling Empire Season 3 Because of Her Husband’s Previous Marriage: Know the Full Story of Jessey Lee’s Previous Marriage and Children in Detail!

Cherie Chan (@cherieofficial) is not in the further episodes of Bling Empire Season 2 Episode 2 because of her husband Jessey Lee. Leah Qin, a new cast addition in Season 2, revealed that Jessey actually had a second family. The cast discovered, after more inquiry, that Jessey did indeed live in Texas with his "wife" (ex-wife, although this wasn't known at the time) and two children. The absurd part about this is that absolutely NO ONE was aware of it. Even his closest friends couldn't help.

When Jaime revealed Jessey's past to the group, they were initially concerned that Chèrie wasn't even aware of Jessey's family from a prior marriage because none of the Bling Empire cast members appeared to be aware of her past. In a later statement, Leah confirmed that Chèrie and Jessey had actually been introduced by Chèrie's ex-boyfriend.

Kane and Jaime were going to tell Chèrie, but Paula Abdul interrupted them before they had a chance.  In the very following episode, Chèrie and Jessey disappeared, suggesting that word of the rumor had found its way back to them.

Additionally, it seems a little strange how Chèrie and Jessey's first wife's timelines line up. According to Cosmopolitan, Chèrie and Jessey welcomed their first child in January 2016, although Jessey filed for divorce in the spring of 2015.

Cherie and her husband never spoke about their exit from the show. Except for sharing images and videos of their happy marriage on Instagram, they haven't said much. Other cast members, on the other hand, have been quite public about them leaving the show. In an interview with ET, Christine Chiu said,

When they left the show, I was really disappointed because I really was wanting them to tell their story and to complete their story... they signed up for this project and trust me, there were a lot of times and a lot of moments where I wish I could have just quit and walked away... Having said that, I also understand from a mother's perspective, from someone who has a family, that your natural instinct is to protect your family, so I have to respect her decision, which I am assuming was in the best interest of her family.

Hence, it seems like Cherie and Jessey disappeared from the show because the other cast members got to know about Jessey's previous marriage which the couple was trying to hide.

Will There Be Season 4 of Bling Empire?

Sadly, Netflix hasn't yet confirmed whether Bling Empire will return for a fourth season. The third season of the show has only recently premiered, and typically they wait to see what the audience thinks before ordering more episodes. Fortunately, Netflix has announced that a Bling Empire spin-off starring Dorothy Wang's new life in New York and her entirely new acquaintances is in the works.

Netflix has not yet confirmed the fourth season, but if it does, it will likely feature cast members from the third season, including Anna Shay, Christine Chiu, Guy Tang, Jaime Xie, Kane Lim, Kelly Mi Li, Kevin Kreider, Kim Lee, Leah Qin, and Mimi Morris.

Devon Diep, a new cast member who might return for season four, was also introduced in season three. Given that Dorothy Wang is the main character in the new spin-off series, it seems improbable that she will appear in the fourth season, but we are hoping nonetheless.
