Richard Thomas has joined the cast of Ozark Season 4 Part 1 as Wendy Byrde's distant father Nathan Davis. The actor is widely known for portraying John-Boy Walton in The Waltons. Richard Thomas makes an appearance as Wendy's dad Nathan Davis in Episode 4 of Ozark Season 4.
The first part of the final installment of Ozark Season 4 has finally hit the streaming service Netflix on January 21, 2022. The crime drama arrives loaded with family crises, unexpected twists, betrayals, and some interesting new characters.
Though the makers of the show have decided to primarily focus on the old characters and the development in their relationship after a lot of horrific events have transpired, there has been an addition to the plot of new characters such as Javi Navarro, a ruthlessly ambitious nephew of Omar Navarro, Mel Sattam - a private investigator trying to trace Helen Pierce, and Nathan Davis- Wendy Byrde's father.

Ozark Season 4: Richard Thomas Plays Wendy Byrde's Father Nathan Davis!
One of the new characters introduced in Season 4 is Nathan Davis, father to Wendy Bryde and Ben Davis. The character is portrayed by Richard Thomas.
Nathan Davis is Wendy Byrde's distant father who had no bearing on his daughter and hence no impact on the plotline till Season 3. He makes an appearance in Episode 4 Ace Deuce. At the end of Season 3, Wendy sets up with Helen Pierce her bipolar brother Ben Davis to be killed by Navarro's hitman after he continues to behave erratically.
Mel Sattam, the private investigator and former police officer, while tracing Helen (she's been gunned down by Omar Navarro), connects her disappearance case to Ben's death.
That's when Nathan Davis enters the scene when Sattam tracks down Ben's father to understand the connection between Ben and Helen and see if Ben's murder had anything to do with Helen missing.
As Nathan discusses his son with the detective, the viewers get to see that he has a plethora of Ben's photos, while Wendy's is nowhere to be seen.

Richard Thomas is an American actor who is mostly recognized for playing the role of John-Boy Walton in the CBS drama The Waltons. For his performance in the drama, he has received two nominations for Emmy Awards, won one, and also won two Golden Globe Awards.
He has also worked in the miniseries adaption of Stephen King's It and portrayed the role of Special Agent Frank Gaad on FX's spy thriller series The Americans.
Richard Thomas was born on June 13, 1951, to the owners and dancers of the New York City Ballet Barbara Fallis and Richard S. Thomas in Manhattan. He attended Columbia College, where he majored in Chinese before switching to English.
He started his acting career as a child when did Broadway debut in Sunrise at Campobello at age seven. He has also made appearances in soap operas such as The Edge of Night, A Flame in the Wind, and As the World Turns.
Richard Thomas is married to a Santa Fe art dealer Georgiana Bischoff. They tied the knot on November 20, 1994, and have been together since then. He shares a son Montana, who was born in 1996, with her.
He also has three other children from a previous marriage with Alma Gonzales. The former couple share triplet daughters Pilar, Barbara, and Gwyneth, born in 1981. He was married to Alma from 1975 to 1993.
