Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, appears to be slowly gaining weight when you compare his pictures of the past with sunken eyes and hollow cheeks to now with a round face sans eye bags. But because there is no consistent weight gain, the changes are supposedly said to be due to plastic surgery.
One of the most infamous people right now is Vladimir Putin who has brought the idea of world peace and harmony down to its knees by attacking Ukraine. Putin is a Russian politician and former intelligence officer, who is the current President of Russia.

Has Vladimir Putin Undergone Weight Gain Over the Years?
Vladimir Putin. It is the name that, on hearing, sort of gives off a menacing vibe and chills (some argue that it is because of the image that has been brainwashed by the pro-Western mass media but in the light of the recent events - maybe not so much).
Anyway, hearing his name does that so, imagine what seeing him could do. We have seen him in pictures. He really seems to exude a sinister vibe with the way he looks. Cold and unwelcoming eyes and that unsmiling poker face.
Vladimir Putin is 69 right now and has been the president of Russia since 2012 and previously from 1999 until 2008. He was also the prime minister from 1999 to 2000, and again from 2008 to 2012.
Did he always look like this? Turns out not. Putin always didn't look like this. If you compare his pictures from the past, he has noticeably changed. There used to be a time when the bags under his eyes and his hollow cheeks were a hallmark of his icy stares.
His icy stares are the same even now except he looks even more threatening now because he doesn't look as gaunt as then. There has been a steady fattening of his cheeks. So, the question arises. Has Vladimir Putin been slowly gaining weight over the years?
So far as we know, the weight he gained on his face cannot be attributed to normal weight gain because it appears that it's only his face that has carried significant weight with the rest of the body not changing in proportion to his face.
What makes this weight gain thing, even more, reach is the other change in his facial features. Not only are his cheeks plump, but his wrinkles have also vanished - sort of (he used to have more wrinkles in the past), and his skin's too smooth. He looks younger than he did back then. We suspect foul play in natural aging. It has to be plastic surgery.
The question of plastic surgery first arose in 2011 when Putin showed up to meet Ukrainian leaders with a mysterious bruise and heavy makeup to hide that, which made it yellow and more visible, on his face right under his eyes. His spokesman denied all those rumors of plastic surgery.
Then in March of 2015, Vladimir Putin very mysteriously went off the radar and disappeared for 10 days, canceling all public appearances and appointments. He emerged from his break to meet with the President of Kyrgystan.
Sparking curiosity with his sudden unspoken-for disappearance, everyone noticed the changes in him. His face was puffy and shiny, and his eyes - he was only able to partially open.
When he was inevitably questioned about his disappearance, he deflected it which made people think it was because he was undergoing plastic surgery.
Though Putin's spokesperson has never confirmed the rumors and never will (they have always denied it), a lot of the change is said to be due to plastic surgery. The way he went from having sunken ness in his eye sockets to having no eye bags is said to be due to eye lifts and fillers. And his hollow cheeks to plump one is supposedly due to cheek fillers as well.
Apparently, with his strict fitness regime, it is not possible to stall his cheeks from going hollow and injectable fillers are how he does that without losing the roundness of his face. Some even believe that he got cheek implants. He is also rumored to have Botox.
Vladimir Putin has always developed a cult of personality for himself with an outdoorsy, sporty, tough guy public image. He takes part in unusual or dangerous acts such as interacting with wild animals to demonstrate his coolness and machismo.
But all for his boldness and machismo, he is said to suffer from Napolean Complex, which is a self-consciousness about his height. Though he gives the official height of 5 feet 7 inches, he is said to be somewhere between 5 feet 1 inch to 5 feet 5 inches.
For someone wanting to appear so gruff and rough, it is surprising to see them trapped in vanity and then take the aid of plastic surgery.
