The Watcher House: Is the Broaddus Family Still Living in the Same House?
In February 2015, eight months after the Broadduses bought 657 Boulevard, the house was placed up for sale. The listing was withdrawn in June 2015 following several price cuts. In response to the previous owners' failure to reveal letters they had received, the Broaddus family brought a lawsuit against them.
The Broaddus family relisted the house in March 2016 after realizing their lawsuit was having little effect, but all the offers fell through. The planning board rejected their proposal to sell the house to a developer who would demolish it and build two new homes.
The Broadduses eventually found a renter to rent the property (and recover some of their investment) and then sold it in July 2019 for $400,000 less than they had originally paid for it.
