Sara Tomko has recently been riding the waves of the limelight for two reasons, one from her marriage and another from the latest comedy-drama science fiction series she made, Resident Alien. She plays the role of Asta Twelvetrees in the second season of the Syfy show.

Out of the limelight has come several rumors and speculations of weight gain and pregnancy rumors. Is that a product of excessive spotlight or do the rumors have some truth to them?

Sara Tomko: Weight Gain and Pregnancy Speculations

Sara Tomko (@saratomko19) tied the knot with T.J. Pederson on May 18, 2021. While basking in the spotlight that her marriage gave her, the actress has been hit with whispers of weight gain and then inferences of pregnancy from there.

It seems like the gossip of her gaining weight was by design to arrive at the conclusion that she was pregnant.

For the record, Sara Tomko has never expressed her thoughts and opinions on being a mother and hasn't shared any plans of having a baby with her husband after marriage. So, how the speculations came to be is still a mystery.

Going by the pictures she posts on her Instagram handle, they don't show any gains in weight and the performer doesn't look like she's pregnant from any angle. She made a public appearance for the premiere of her series Resident Alien.

In the event, she looked fitter than ever with no increase in weight from before the marriage. That should shut down all the weight gain speculations. About the pregnancy assumptions, it might not be noticeable till the fourth or fifth month when the baby bump starts to show.

So, there's a wild possibility that the baseless pregnancy speculations could be a hit. However, Sara Tomko has not announced any news of pregnancy. So, take those rumors with a grain of salt!

Either way, Sara seems to be very blissful in marriage to be bothered with the speculations about the pregnancy. Sara first met TJ during a project in 2015 and struck up a close friendship with him since the first meeting.

What made her take this friendship to more than friendship was when her grandmother passed away which made her realize that life is short and she ended up confessing to TJ her love for him.

The couple dated for five months before they got engaged and eventually got married in 2021.

Sara Tomko: Her Life Before Marriage

Sara Tomko was born on October 19, 1983. Though by nationality, Sara is American, she is of mixed race with Polish, Slovak, and Native American heritage. She always knew that she wanted to be an actress from a very early age.

Everything she did has been to build a career in the acting industry since then. Sara Tomko went to James Madison University in Virginia and got a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre and Dance in 2005.

She showed promises from then with her acting skills. She won a theatre scholarship, the Steven Snyder Memorial Award while attending university. This is a prize that recognizes creative accomplishment in Experimental Theatre.

After graduation, she went to be a part of Shadowbox Live in Columbus, Ohio, for two years up to 2007 where she studied Sketch Comedy and Cabaret.

Being a theatre kid, Sara Tomko began her professional acting career performing in theatres. She has performed in plenty of theatre productions. Some of them are Lola's Catering, Yerma, and Tree of Life: Frida Kahlo.

In 2008, she landed her first lead role on Scott Wheeler's Journey to the Center of the Earth. Following that, she made appearances in many short films like Touching the Sky, Weight of the Sun, Painted Perfect, and Not Funny.

Even after having got started acting professionally, she attended Los Angeles' Playhouse West acting school from 2011 to 2014.

She essayed the supporting role of Minnie on Nir Paniry's Extracted in 2012. In 2015, Sara appeared in the premiere of the second season of The Leftovers. That same year, she worked in Matt Osterman's 400 Days. In 2016, she guest-starred as Dr. Blackhorse on NBC's Heartbeat.
