Does Choi Nam-ra Die in All of Us Are Dead?

Choi Nam-ra played by Cho Yi-Hyun is the calm class president who is thought to be spotless. She is a student at Hyosan High School who is caught in the middle of a zombie virus pandemic.

And, while she may not be as fearless as the public perceives her to be, she is nonetheless quietly battling personal problems and concentrating on her studies. When calamity strikes, she joins On- jo's group and ultimately lets down her walls. And no, Nam-ra does not die at the end of All of Us Are Dead season one.

In episode 6, Nam-ra rushes to Su-hyeok's aid as the latter confronts Yoon Gwi-nam in a losing battle. After Gwi-nam’s transformation into a half-bie, he bites Nam-ra and infects her with the same modified Jonas virus that he has. Nam-ra is also changed by the mutation.

The normal strain kills the host and takes possession of their body, but the mutation mimics the host's sentience. Nam-ra starts to change. She doesn't turn into a brain-dead zombie, but she does experience cravings for human flesh. Su-hyeok is the target of these cravings, so Nam-ra bites into her own arm to recover her serenity.

Despite the fact that all of her fellow survivors, with the exception of Su-hyeok, are hesitant and even hostile towards her after metamorphosis, she saves their lives on many occasions, notably by fighting Gwi-nam.

As they sit around a fire, she finally bonds with the rest of the group. They promise to do it again once the disaster has passed.

She survives the military's series of bombings intended to exterminate the zombies. However, she eventually gives in to her need to consume human flesh, causing her body to experience the next phase.

Nam-ra understands she won't be able to return to the human world with Su-hyeok to live a regular life, so she vanishes into the thick mist of their surroundings. She is already there, having lit a fire when her classmates return to the remains of their school.

She admits that she has met a few other half-bies that are similar to her. Before she jumps off the roof, she and the others make a pledge to be friends no matter where they end up.
