All of Us Are Dead Season 2: Netflix Renewal Status Revealed!

Netflix's original All of Us Are Dead has been a global success since its release. However, will the series be renewed for Season 2 on Netflix? It's still too early to say, but we'll go through everything we know about the second season of All of Us Are Dead below.

All of Us Are Dead is a Netflix Original South Korean zombie horror series written by Chun Sung-il and based on Joo Dong-Geun's webtoon Now at Our School.

Lee Jae Gyoo, known for his work on Trap, King2Hearts, and Intimate Strangers, directed the series. Kim Jong-Hak Production and Film Monster were the production companies behind the series.

When a zombie virus wreaks havoc on their school, a tiny group of pupils is locked within, fighting for survival against the flesh-eating horde.

Netflix released the series on January 28, 2022. And as the first season ended, fans have been wondering about its second season. Well, here is what we know about season 2 of Netflix horror-thriller.

Previously, we touched on Cheong-san, Eun-ji, Na-Yeon, Ms. Park, Nam-ra, hambies, and Gwi-nam.

All of Us Are Dead Season 2 Netflix Renewal Status

Netflix may renew an Original ahead of its release date in exceptional circumstances, however, All of Us Are Dead has not gotten such an early renewal for Season 2.

The horror series has just been available to view on Netflix for a little over four days at the time of writing, so it's still too early for the streaming site to decide whether or not to renew it.

Netflix frequently takes many weeks to make a decision about an Original's future. This allows all essential data and analytics to be collected in order to determine whether a series is worth renewing.

Netflix evaluates various aspects before deciding whether or not to renew a series, including subscriber viewership in the first month, the number of subscribers who finished the series, and total minutes watched.

The top ten lists are one of the strongest predictors of how well a series is doing, but it's still too early to tell how popular All of Us Are Dead is. We definitely expect All of Us Are Dead to be one of the most popular originals of 2022, based on the trailer alone, which has over 14 million views.

The question of whether or not All of Us Are Dead needs a Season 2 is incredibly subjective, and many people's opinions will likely be split down the middle. However, we'll try to justify why the series does not require a second season.

This is Why All of Us Are Dead Doesn't Need a Season 2

Only a few students from Hyosan High School, such as On-jo, Su-hyeok, Dae-su, Ha-ri, Mi-jin, and Hyo-ryung, managed to escape the outbreak. Not to mention that the vast bulk of Hyosan's population was converted into zombies and was completely destroyed by the Korean military's strategic bombing.

The survivors are now housed in a refugee camp while the military evaluates whether or not Hyosan is secure enough for them to return.

Those who did survive have basically wrapped up their stories as they struggle to find their place in the new world. And, unless a fresh outbreak occurs, it's difficult to predict where the story will go next.

This is Why All of Us Are Dead Needs a Second Season

Nam-Ra, who despite being infected by Gwi-Nam could not capitulate to the virus and became a mindless zombie, could be the focus of the second season.

Nam-Ra was able to keep her humanity while also benefiting from the virus, which has boosted her strength, stamina, and ability to endure injuries that would cripple or kill a regular human.

Nam-Ra revealed there are more survivors like her after reconciling with the other Hyosan High School survivors, and she is presently assisting them in surviving.

The fact that there are more human-zombie hybrids like Nam-Ra than Gwi-Nam and Eun-Ji can be extremely hazardous, especially if they are unable to suppress their drives to eat and kill.

A bite from a hybrid doesn't always mean you'll turn into one, as Gwi-Nam discovered after biting Ha-Ri's archery colleague and succumbing to illness and becoming a mindless zombie.

So, all it takes is one hybrid or half-breed to give in to their hunger, and a fresh pandemic might start all over again.
