She later agreed to an ad in The Stage and joined Circo Magico Italiano, a traveling circus, at the age of 17 in Mexico. Her first television appearance was as the officer manager on London's Burning.

She made her maiden appearance in June 2004 and signed a three-year deal, which was renewed in 2007. In 2010, she signed a one-year contract extension. She also played Jane in the 2010 spinoff series, EastEnders: E20. She took a brief maternity vacation from the show in May of 2011.
