Dr. Fabián Fontaine Figueredo graduated from the Superior Medical Institute "Carlos J. Finlay" in Camagüey, Cuba, with a specialty in Aesthetic Surgery and Burns Reconstruction.
During his fellowship, he served as Chief of Residents, then as an aesthetic surgeon and an Aesthetic Surgery professor from 2004 to 2006.
He moved to the United States at the end of 2006 and passed all of the required exams for the United States Medical License Examination (USMLE) in 2007.
He was enrolled into the University of Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital's General Surgery program in June 2008, where he finished a year of General Surgery and two years of Family Medicine.
He received his Board of Family Medicine specialty certification in 2011.
