According to sources, the Cobra Kai star's mother, Carmelita Ramrez Sánchez, is a Mexican radio host, while his father, Omar G. Ramrez, is a Cuban music producer.
He used to take part in theatrical performances while attending Cathedral High School because, in contrast to his father, he has always been more interested in acting than music. His parents used to take him to auditions for movies and television since they were aware of his talent. The 11-year-old Xolo passed the Parenthood audition in 2012.
