Joanna Teplin and Clea Shearer help people get organized with the Netflix series Get Organized With The Home Edit.

The longtime friends and business partners give routines and methods that make their clients' lives easier, whether they're supporting celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Khloé Kardashian or average homeowners looking to add more space and peace to their homes.

In 2015, Clea and Joanna founded The Home Edit, a home organization company. Clea and Joanna are now back with their home organizing show after a successful Netflix premiere with Season 1 of their series in September 2020.

The reality stars, on the other hand, were already upfront about dividing their time between their personal and professional life prior to the show.

Clea Shearer even has an Instagram account where she posts nice photos and details about her family. So, if you want to know more about Clea's childhood and parents, you're at the right place.

Previously, we touched on Lauren Conrad and her husband William Tell. Likewise, we discussed Joanna Teplin's net worth.

Clea Shearer's Parents, Childhood & Family!

Clea Shearer - who is worth $4 million - is the co-founder of The Home Edit, as well as the host of the Netflix show Get Organized with The Home Edit, and a New York Times best-selling author.

Shearer was born and raised in Los Angeles but moved to Nashville for her husband's career as a Getty Images Entertainment and Music Photographer. Joanna Teplin, her business partner, she met in Nashville. The Home Edit, a home organization company, was started by them.

Clea Shearer (@cleashearer) was born on February 1, 1982, in Los Angeles, California, to mother Roberta Cummings, a descendant of Nathan Cummings, the late businessman, and philanthropist. However, his father's name is not disclosed yet. Dashiell Driscoll, a talented writer of Zack Morris Is Trash, is Clea's incredibly supportive sibling.

Clea was an energetic beautiful lady who took pride in keeping her room clean. She would take time out during her spring breaks to clean up her drawers and vanity. When Clea's neighbor came to play with her in their California house, the two girls ended up sorting the stationery while they were having fun.

Clea Shearer earned a bachelor's degree in business administration and design management from Parsons School of Design. She also lived in New York as an adult before relocating to Nashville, Tennessee with her life partner and their lovely children.

In 2009, the co-founder of The Home Edit (@thehomeedit) married John Shearer, and the couple has been together ever since. Clea posted multiple old photographs on Instagram in October 2018 to commemorate the couple's tenth wedding anniversary.

Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin Didn't Start Out As Professional Organizers

Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin both are great organizers, but keeping their clients' homes in order wasn't something they'd always wanted to do. Clea Shearer told House of Harper that she worked in the fashion industry before organizing and she was serious about staying there.

She even holds a degree from the prestigious Parsons School of Design. Nonetheless, she was always well-organized, so a new career felt like a natural progression.

Shearer's organizational style was also significantly inspired by her background in the fashion industry. "Like fashion, it's a way for people to express themselves and to surround themselves with what makes them feel good — color, pattern, space," she told With Heart. After all, true fans of their TV show are well aware that she is all about color-matching people's houses.

Joanna Teplin, on the other hand, comes from a very different family. She switched careers after graduating with a degree in film and began designing greeting cards and invitations. Teplin went on to work as a wedding planner before gradually moving on to organizing other aspects of people's lives.

"When I met Clea, I'd already owned an organizing business but on a much smaller scale," she told House of Harper. "Clea brings the form, and I bring the function. It's a perfect balance."
