David Kenneth Harbour (@dkharbour) is an American actor best known for playing his role as Jim Hopper in the Netflix science fiction thriller Stranger Things, for which he won a Critics' Choice Television Award in 2018. He was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for the performance.
Harbour made his professional acting debut in a revival of The Rainmaker on Broadway in 1999. He made his television debut as a waiter in an episode of Law & Order the following year.
In 2002, he reprised his role as a child murderer in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In the ABC series Pan Am, Harbour played MI6 Agent Roger Anderson on a regular basis.
