Anxious People Season 2 Release Date: Is the Netflix Show Getting a Second Season?

Anxious People Season 2 is not officially confirmed by Netflix. Since the show is a limited miniseries, Anxious People is unlikely to be renewed for Season 2 by Netflix.

As we enter a fresh year, many of us are thinking about ways to save money in 2022. There are a few things that spring to mind that we don't think we'll need, but Netflix isn't one of them.

Moreover, in recent years, the streaming platform has turned into an unquestionable household necessity. (Anxious People's cast proves why you need to watch this show!)

In 2021, the streaming giants released a slew of original stuff, but some of the best were spared for last with a Swedish comedy show Anxious People, written by Camila Ahlgren and helmed by Felix Herngren.

It's the most recent adaptation of Fredrik Backman's piece of literature, based on his first novel. So, is it worth pinning our expectations on Anxious People season 2 now that fans have rushed through it?

Anxious People Season 2 Release Date on Netflix

Unfortunately, neither Netflix nor the show's makers have made any sort of announcement on Anxious People Season 2. Given that it is touted as a miniseries, this is maybe not come as a surprise.

Six episodes make up the limited series, which follow the events in the book. Granted, limited programs have been resurrected for more episodes as a result of their success, but Anxious People is doubtful to be one of them.

Because the primary source is a pre-existing piece, the writers would have to constitute their own elements to keep the plot going. Looking back on the finale, it's probably fair to say that the conclusion does not call for a second season.

Director Felix Herngren Says Working with Fredrik Backman is a Privilege

Felix Herngren expressed his delight at the prospect of working with Fredrik Backman prior to the project's development,

Fredrik Backman has a unique sense and ability to portray people and to find interesting stories that reflect Sweden. It will be a privilege to shape this amazing book together with Camilla Ahlgren.

He added,

Furthermore, it feels great to be continuing our collaboration with Netflix, which will make this fantastic story come to life for the global audience.

Fredrik chimed in with his own praise for Felix, claiming that he is an exceptional storyteller with a distinct sense of humor who is a privilege to work with.

Anxious People is streaming on Netflix.
