Where is The Witcher Season 2 Filmed? UK Filming Locations Explored!

Netflix's The Witcher season 2 had limited filming locations in the UK to get their scenes filmed. Did the restricted United Kingdom locations have any impact on the filming of the series?

With the release of The Witcher Season 2, Netflix has given extreme exhilaration to all the fans. Taking exactly a year after season one, Netflix released the second season on 17th December 2021.

While season 1 was filmed in several parts of the world, The Witcher season 2 was confined to restricted filming locations due to the worldwide pandemic.

However, finding the best possible filming locations, the production company has shot the second season in such a way that the scenes look way more realistic.

Also, they chose the setting perfectly as in the second season, the scenes and the filming location give the vibes that perfectly match the aesthetics of the series.

Conversely, the production company and the team were restricted to finding the spots in the United Kingdom as the whole world, as well as the UK, was undergoing a strict lockdown.

But we really need to appreciate all the production members for making it possible to get the series developed even with limited options.

Meanwhile, we previously addressed Yennefer's age and whether or not she regains her magic. In addition, we touched on Deathless Mother, the White Flame, Roach's death, and Ciri's Hen Ikeir. Plus, check out the complete recap of Season 1 timeline.

The Witcher Season 2 Filming Locations: Where was the Netflix Show Filmed?

Filmed in Poland, Hungary, and Spain, the first season of The Witcher had several filming locations. Conversely, the COVID-19 refrained from filming the second season in several parts of the world. Therefore, Season 2 is entirely filmed in different parts of the United Kingdom.

The production team set Bourne Wood as one of the sites to get the typical forest vibes. Moreover, this particular filming scene is loved by other movies' production such as Harry Potter, Gladiator, and the Half-Blood Prince.

Also, the cast and the production worked exactly five days at MoD Deepcut Surrey, which was used as a rocky path that encircled the Witcher's House. Then, The Witcher's team continued their exterior location work in the Lake District in Cumbria.

Later, the team moved to Durham: home to the Low Force Waterfall in Teesdale. Continuing the filming of The Witcher season 2, the members moved to Goradle Scar, and in this particular filming location, they spent 3 days recording the scenes of the series.

Moreover, in another scene for The Witcher Season 2, the production moved to Fountains Abbey where they spent their final week.

Furthermore, Frensham Ponds was also one of the filming locations where Season 2 was shot. Despite getting limited placements, The Witcher season 2 is one of the greatest hits, and yes, while watching the series, it literally gives the ancient vibes.

Will There Be The Witcher Season 3?
