In an exclusive conversation with The Globe and Mail before the last season of Brothers & Sisters that aired in April 2008, Luke MacFarlane came out of the closet.
He was unsure how his career would pan out if he addressed himself as gay, but he opted to be honest to himself, and the response was overwhelmingly positive. He said,
There is this desire in L.A. to wonder who you are and what’s been blaring for me for the last three years is how can I be most authentic to myself – so this is the first time I am speaking about it in this way.
However, people anticipated MacFarlane coming out as homosexual for a long time due to his on-screen gay character on Brothers & Sisters. So, the revelation didn't come as a complete surprise.
Is Luke MacFarlane's Gay Partner Wentworth Miller?
If you are unfamiliar with Wentworth Miller, he is the hunk who plays Michael Schofield in the iconic American drama series Prison Break. Many believe he is MacFarlane's gay lover or, more likely, his future husband.
According to reliable sources, one of Single All the Way cast members, Luke MacFarlane was in a relationship with his partner, Wentworth. He had remained silent about their dating life because Wentworth had not come out as gay.
But that was no more the case in 2013. According to Distractify, the couple has been dating since 2007, long before either of them came out. According to insiders, they were even considering moving in together.
In 2013, Wentworth disclosed his sexual orientation in a statement posted on the GLAAD website after declining an invite to a Russian movie festival due to the Russian government's treatment of homosexual people.
The real question is whether Wentworth is still dating his gay partner MacFarlane. So yet, neither of them has commented on the claims, and we can't even follow MacFarlane on social media because he rarely uses Twitter or Instagram.
Who is Luke MacFarlane's Spouse?
The timing was ideal, given that Luke MacFarlane was tying the knot on-screen to his reel husband, Kevin Walker, portrayed by Matthew Rhys, in the forthcoming episode of Brothers & Sisters.
He was worried about what might bring him down on a professional scale, but he wished to be honest to himself, so he revealed that he is gay. Even before coming out as homosexual, MacFarlane was said to be in a relationship with Grey's Anatomy star T. R. Knight.
However, those speculations vanished quickly once MacFarlane became involved in speculation about his boyfriend being Wentworth Miller in June 2007. But, whoever MacFarlane's partner is, let's hope he's in a happy gay romance.
